Welcome to the 2008 Midwest Aviation Conference & Trade Show (MACTS)! The MACTS is an event designed to bring many aspects of aviation together for one exciting weekend of seminars, displays, and clinics presented by professional educators and aviation industry service providers.
The MACTS is for anyone interested in aviation. You can select from many informative presentations by world-class aviators sharing their successes and failures in the wide world of aviation. Record setting pilots, veterans, professionals in rotorcraft, soaring, ballooning, sport pilot, airplanes, aircraft manufacturers, and aeronautical clubs, will be on-hand in the trade show booth area.
On Friday evening we will host the Annual Midwest Aviation Awards Banquet where your fellow aviators will be recognized for their contributions and accomplishments in aviation. This year we are once again so fortunate to be guests of the St Louis Science Center's Planetarium. This is an ideal location for this event and for aviators. Captain Brian Udell will be our key-note speaker and lucky participants will once again see the Zeiss Plantarium in action!
The Saturday Morning Super Safety Seminar will be a host to Brian Udell, a supersonic ejection survivor, you will find his presentation inspiring and educational. Cathe Fish will entertain the audience with her wonderful aviation humor and stimulating style. Cathe will present her very popular Flying Companion course on Saturday afternoon. This program is a great introduction to flying for your friends who want to learn more about becoming a pilot, or your co-pilot.
The Aviation Trade Show will display the goods and services of manufactures, flight schools, clubs, associations, and service providers for your review and research. This year lunch will also be provided in the trade show area.
The Greater St Louis Flight Instructors Association will be hosting the longest running consecutive Flight Instructor Revalidation Clinic in the country, their 38th! At this event CFIs and anyone interested in learning more about aviation instruction can attend a wide variety of presentations to fit their personal development needs.
We sincerely hope you enjoy your time at the 2008 MACTS and it is our pleasure to provide these programs to have more fun, fly safely, and pursue your aviation interests to the fullest.
